May 2022 Federal Budget

With the federal election set for 21 May, it was unsurprising that the budget included announcements that will appeal to voters in the short term. Superannuation and general financial planning proposals were largely untouched on budget night, with most changes being included in the 2021-22 budget, 12 months ago. Overall, the government focused on continuing its path to economic recovery on creating job opportunities and encouraging business investment.
